The internet was built open. Inversed exists to keep it that way. Brand, website and decks for an applied cryptography firm whose work matters more every year.

Context

The internet began as an open system. Over thirty years it centralized, and privacy became something you were asked to give up. Cryptography is the way back. Zero-knowledge proofs, multi-party computation, threshold signatures: the tools that let trust be proven instead of promised. Inversed builds with them, for Zcash, World, Bolt Labs, Iron Fish and Scroll. Quiet work, on which a lot of loud things depend.

The brief

The work was real. The surface didn’t say so. Inversed looked like every other cryptography firm, and the people it needed to convince, protocol teams, banks, regulators, had no way to tell the difference.

They needed a position, an identity, and a way to explain themselves to the people who decide. We were asked for a brand. We treated it as the company’s argument for existing, and built everything else from there.

Positioning

Architects of openness. We wrote the line and built everything under it. Cryptography treated as a principle, not a product. Not a patch, not a feature. The thing trust is made of. A reason to exist that a competitor can’t copy, because it isn’t a service. It’s a stance.

In cryptography, trust is the entire product. The brand’s job is to make it visible.

A mark that turns the world over.

The symbol inverts. The type flips. Red on black and cream, in a category that defaults to blue and cold. The system was built to feel human first and technical second, because the people who buy cryptography are tired of being sold fear. Every element carries the same idea: turn it over, and you see how it works. The wordmark reads upside down on purpose. So does the internet, once you understand who holds the keys.

Identity

The symbol inverts. The type flips. Red on black and cream, in a category that defaults to blue and cold. The system was built to feel human first and technical second, because the people who buy cryptography are tired of being sold fear.

Type and color

Warm first, technical second.

Two typefaces, one warm, one exact. A red that reads as signal, not alarm. Cream instead of white, so nothing on the page feels sterile. The rules are few and strict, which is what lets a small team apply them without us.

System

One idea, every surface. The inversion runs through the website, the sales and internal decks, social templates, conference stages and the case studies for Zcash, World and Bolt Labs. It works because it is one idea, not a style, and one idea survives being applied by people who weren’t in the room when it was made. The brand book is short. The system does the rest.

design thinking

Security brands sell fear. We refused to. Every choice, from the flipped wordmark to the wit in the copy, was made so that trust would feel like something you want, not something you’re scared into. The people Inversed works with already know the stakes. They don’t need reminding. They need a partner who sounds like one.

The idea

Red in a category that defaults to blue. Warm in an industry that runs cold. Inversed, in every sense.

design thinking

A brand is a company’s argument for existing. For Inversed the argument was already there, in the code and in the principles the founders kept repeating. Our job was to make it visible, then make it consistent, then get out of the way. The best compliment we got was that it looked like it had always been this way.

Website

Clear to a CTO. Clear to a regulator.

Three services, three case studies, a blog with a point of view. Built for the launch and for the years after it, so the team can publish research and cases without touching the design.

Decks

What the site promises, the room hears.

Sales and internal decks in the same system. The story an investor reads online is the story a partner hears across the table, told with the same words and the same mark.

Launch

Cryptography with conscience.

On 17 September 2025, Inversed launched the brand with a manifesto from its CEO. In his words, not a surface change, but a clear expression of the principles that guide the company.

The identity now runs across the site, the decks, the stage and the work itself. Systems shape us. Inversed builds better ones, and now it looks like it.
